Our first Performance

The South Hornby Storytellers' First Performance

On Thursday 22nd of May 2015 The South Hornby Storytellers had their first performance at the Hornby Library!
We sang three songs, Look What They've Done to My Song, Georgy Girl and Hareruia.
Nadia is our Storyteller.  We all love to sing stories.

Hi my name is Nadia,
I am the South Hornby Storyteller's Deputy Leader.
It is my job to tell the audience what the next song is going to be about. I have to put a lot of drama into what I am saying, I also have to put a lot of practise into my speeches. Here is an example of one of my speeches. This one is for Georgy Girl.

"Imagine if you will, a sad and lonely girl with no friends, we'll call her Georgy cause that was her name. Now Judith Durham and her Aussie friends in the Seekers told this inspirational story about Georgy. Georgy was a very shy girl who was afraid of people getting to know her, she was often seen to be window shopping for friends but never had the courage to start a friendship. However Judith believed in Georgy and knew that if she only expressed the love she had inside of her, her life would change."

I enjoy doing my speeches because I get to do drama with it. Drama is something that I don't get to do very much.
